Jack has been an adaptive PE teacher in Spartanburg, S.C., for the past eight years. In 2011, he earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from USC Upstate, where he graduated magna cum laude.
In addition to teaching, his volunteerism includes foreign mission work through Impact Sports International, a nonprofit devoted to using sports as a way of spreading the Gospel. Jack is also involved in English Crossing, a program for teaching free English classes in the community.
Jack is a part of setup team at his church and volunteers for P.S. I Love You Ministries, a faith-based nonprofit that supports children in foster care.
“I chose Presbyterian College because PC does not shy away from their ties to faith,” Jack says. “I was very impressed with the faculty and staff and their desire to give back to the community and to people.
“I was also honored to be offered a spot in the inaugural class!”
Jack’s wife, Rachel, is a pediatric occupational therapist. Their son, Parks, was born Aug. 12, 2019. Jack’s hobbies include woodworking, football and Olympic weightlifting.
