Rebekah Gardner | Physicians Assistant Doctoral Program | Presbyterian College | Clinton SCRebekah Gardner

PA Student
Class of 2021

Hometown: Spartanburg, S.C.

When she was a child, Rebekah would go with her father to visit church members who were in the hospital.

“This is where I was first exposed to healthcare and couldn’t wait to one day be caring for patients myself,” she said.

Rebekah graduated from Clemson University in 2016. She majored in biological sciences and graduated with Honors.

After graduation, Rebekah worked as a nursing assistant for a year. More recently, she has worked as a risk management coordinator for a hospital. She’s also volunteered for a free clinic.

“I’ve always considered healthcare such a privilege and know how expensive it can be,” she says.

“I loved getting the opportunity to volunteer for the free clinic and assist providers in loving and caring for patients that otherwise wouldn’t get care.”

Presbyterian College was a perfect fit for Rebekah.

“There was something different about Presbyterian College the moment I got here,” she says. “I felt at peace and loved the small town environment.”
