Why do you want to be a PA?

Performing a vivisection on a frog when I was a teenager, listening to my grandmother tell stories of her times aiding in surgery, reading a biography on William Harvey, helping in the births of 3 of my siblings (even catching one of my sisters), and seeing the great impact health care professionals can have on others through by shadowing and working as a CNA has all led me to pursuing this profession.

Why did you choose Presbyterian College PA Program?

Presbyterian was my top choice! I was really hoping to get in because they were so close to home, and I had heard such great things from others about the school. I had actually been discouraged from applying Feb of 2021 and to wait until the next cycle. I decided to apply anyway because I wanted to see if my application was strong enough to get in even at the end of Presbyterian’s cycle. Thankfully, it worked out—I was shocked when I got the email request for an interview. Here I am today in PA school. I am so thankful for my family and many friends who had supported me throughout undergrad and now into PA school.
