Criminal Justice Minor
Overview
The Criminal Justice program at PC offers a structured, interdisciplinary framework for students to become well-prepared to pursue a variety of careers in criminal justice, including – but not limited to – law enforcement, legal services, social services, public policy, and advocacy. Our curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of crime, legal systems, and the societal and ethical responses to criminal behavior. In particular, the Criminal Justice Minor fosters skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication that are essential for addressing contemporary challenges in criminal justice.
What you will study*
The Criminal Justice minor requires 19 credit hours, including required courses in the U.S. criminal justice system, criminology, professional ethics, and an internship of at least one credit hour. Students also take elective courses in forensic science or forensic psychology, computer security, legal studies, Constitutional law, and more.
