Dr. Wanliss directs the Space Weather Undergraduate Research Laboratory (SWURL) where, together with students, he studies space science and nonlinear dynamical systems under grants from NASA and NSF. He has lectured on diverse topics including homeschooling, global warming, chronobiology, Christian apologetics, space weather, earthquake dynamics, and the relation of theology to science.
Dr. Wanliss has served as an expert reviewer for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) is a Senior Fellow and Contributing Writer for The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, and Policy Expert to the Heartland Institute. He has written several books, published over 55 peer-reviewed physics articles, won the prestigious NSF CAREER award, and has served as an expert reviewer for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change.
Dr. Wanliss enjoys traveling and has taken students for research work in Japan, Korea, and South Africa.
