Overview

A minor in Business Administration complements other majors by giving you an overview of basic economics and accounting concepts. Next, you can choose three or more supporting classes that best fit your interests.

Want to work in the financial industry? Choose Managerial Finance or a Banks & Financial Institutions. Planning to go into health care? Add the Health Care Management class. Looking to pair a Business Minor with a Psychology major to go into industrial psychology? Select Management & Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Human Resources Management, and Consumer Behavior.

WHAT YOU’LL STUDY

If you want to focus on how business works, you can earn a minor in business administration by successfully completing 18 hours of select accounting, business and economics courses.

Three courses are required for the minor:

Principles Financial Accounting
Principles of Macroeconomics
Principles of Microeconomics

You can satisfy the requirements for the minor by completing nine hours of business administration electives at or above the 300-level. Those classes may include classes in areas, such as Marketing, Data Analytics, Management, Sports Marketing, etc.
