Kayce M. Shealy, Pharm.D., BCPS, CDCES
Adjunct, School of PharmacyI have a professional goal for expanding the role of the pharmacist into more
than just a medication dispenser, but one who manages chronic diseases and prevents hospitalizations. I advocate for the pharmacist to be a fully integrated member of the healthcare team in all settings, especially when medications are involved. I continue to be deeply humbled by the amazing responsibility to train future pharmacists that will improve the health of our communities. I am a firm believer that we all have opportunities for advocacy daily, and that even small actions can have significant impacts. I have found joy in serving my community and church in Leesville, and I am inspired by my husband, Brian, and three children, Kate, Jack, and James. “Choose faith over fear”
