If asked why he and his wife are such stalwart supporters of their alma mater, John Jeselnik ’73 gives a simple but straightforward and potent answer.

“If not us, then who?”

John and Alison, a 1973 alumna, met at Presbyterian College, have family that went to PC, and continue to make friends at PC.

John, a retired dealer management services manager with the John Deere Company and the owner of EZ Way Farms is a member of the College’s Board of Trustees and past president of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Alison is a retired learning disabilities teacher and their daughter, Lane Jeselnik Goodwin ’00, currently serves on PC’s alumni board. Alison’s brother and sister-in-law – Wayne ’70 and Margaret ’73 Harris also are PC alumni.

The couple has long given to both the PC Fund and the Scotsman Club and has a particular fondness for Blue Hose athletics. John led fundraising efforts through an annual golf tournament to raise funds for the Dr. Elliott  Poss Scholarship Fund in memory of the PC alumnus and former football coach.

They have given to the Division I Athletic Endowment, the Victory Fund, Neville Renewed, the construction of Bailey Memorial Stadium, and improvements to the baseball facility.

“I appreciate our friend Randy Randall getting me involved with the alumni board in 2000,” said John. “As a result getting us back in touch with PC events, goals and objectives, and people who are willing to make the school strong for the future. We realized how much we missed the atmosphere, the buzz of activity, and the energy. Also, as a result of being more involved, we have  made so many new friends who love the school as much as we do.”
