Mike and Sally Hurt

Mike Hurt is the co-founder and CEO of ARMS Software, the industry’s leading process automation software company for college athletics.

He began his career with an environmental technology startup that was listed in the top 50 of the INC 500 fastest growing companies six years in a row. He created several new business lines, including a plant deactivation and auction technology business that worked with private industry and the Department of Defense. This company was sold to TYCO International, a multi-billion dollar industrial conglomerate, in 1998.

His next venture was as a partner and CEO of Amentra, an industry-leading, high technology product development software company that delivered custom software products for the Fortune 500 and Global 1000. The company was sold to the largest open-source software company in the world, Red Hat, in March of 2008.

Hurt, a graduate of Radford University, serves on the boards of several private companies and is president of the Radford University Athletic Foundation. He served as vice president of the investment committee for RU’s private foundation and the Radford University Board of Visitors. Hurt is a board member and leader of The Midlothian Miners Wrestling Club.

He generously gave in support of the Blue Hose wrestling program. His enthusiasm for the nation’s first D-1 women’s wrestling program, his desire to see wrestling gain momentum in the Southeast, and his deep respect for PC’s current Director of Wrestling, Mark Cody, inspired Mike’s generous gift-which was the first major gift in support of PC’s new wrestling program.

He and his wife, Sally, a graduate of Mary Washington University, have four children and are very active in their community.
