
Presbyterian College will celebrate its first-generation college students next week in conjunction with National First-Gen Week, Nov. 2-8.
PC kicks off First-Gen Week, appropriately enough, at its next home football game at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in Bailey Memorial Stadium with first-generation students being recognized at half-time.
On Monday, Nov. 4, Grocery Bingo is back by popular demand from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Kuhne Auditorium. First-generation students are being encouraged to exercise their right to vote on Nov. 5 – Election Day – and asked to post selfies with their “I Voted” stickers to social media and tag @presbyfirstgens.
First-gen students are packing Templeton Center at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, for home basketball game where they will again be recognized. On Thursday, Nov. 7, the group is dining together at noon in Greenville Dining Hall with first-generation friends, faculty, and staff.
The celebration of National First-Gen Student Day begins at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian College sign facing South Broad Street for a group photo of all first generation undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff members.
The week of events wraps with the third annual Presby First+ pinning ceremony for all first-year students and students who have not yet been pinned at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in Kuhne Auditorium.
