Presbyterian College alumnus Matthew Sherman ’00 continues to make his mark in education leadership, recently being named South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA) Secondary Principal of the Year.

Sherman, who has served as principal of Blythewood High School since 2018, earned this prestigious recognition for his outstanding leadership and dedication to educational excellence. During his tenure at Blythewood, he has fostered a culture of academic achievement and student success. Sherman’s journey in education leadership began after his graduation from PC, where he laid the foundation for his future career in school administration. His recognition by SCASA reflects both his personal achievements and PC’s legacy of producing exceptional educators.
