Pete Selleck Former President and CEO of Michelin North America to speak at the 2018 Robert M. Vance Lecture Series

President Staton and the Department of Economics and Business Administration are pleased to announce Mr. Pete Selleck, recently retired President and CEO of Michelin North America, as the guest speaker for the 2018 Robert M. Vance Lecture Series on Business Ethics. Mr. Selleck’s lecture, “Your Reputation – Critical To Your Future”, will be held on Thursday, February 15, at 11 a.m. in Edmunds Hall.

Mr. Selleck joined Michelin in 1982 and has served in manufacturing and general management positions in Greenville, S.C., and Clermont-Ferrand, France. The first half of his Michelin career was focused on engineering, quality, operational and leadership roles in North American manufacturing plants. Subsequently, he served as chief operating officer of the North American Passenger Car Tire Division, chief operating officer of the European Passenger Car Tire Division and president of the Global Truck Tire Division.

Mr. Selleck holds degrees from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a B.S. in engineering and applied sciences, and Clemson University, where he earned an M.B.A. He began his career as a US Army officer in the 4th Infantry Division, where he served as a platoon leader and a company commander, and, subsequently, served more than 20 years in the Army Reserves.
