Research or Areas of Specialty
My research interests combine areas of analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, materials science, and biophysical chemistry. Our research group currently focusses on synthesizing and utilizing semiconductor and metal nanoparticles as both sensors and green, sustainable catalysts in organic and biochemical processes with specific emphasis on DNA-nanoparticle interactions and food-additive analysis using surface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy.
