Beverly Blalock

I wear many hats in the library, with responsibilities that span several key areas. I oversee all aspects of circulation and stacks management, coordinate our PASCAL Delivers service, and recruit, train, and supervise a team of student workers. I also manage faculty reserves, schedule the library classrooms, assist students with printing and software issues, and help maintain the library’s physical spaces and building operations. In addition, I help manage acquisitions as well as the preceptor accounts within the library’s authentication system. A core part of my role is building strong, supportive relationships with our student worker, creating an environment where they feel valued, respected, and encouraged to grow. With more than 30 years of institutional knowledge, I take pride in sharing insights and history with colleagues to support our collaborative efforts. And last, but certainly not least, I love to entertain library staff, student workers, curious faculty, and anyone else who will listen with stories from my outdoor adventures!
