Academic Success CoachI am a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, where I served as a student researcher, presenting my work at psychology conferences and earning recognition for my contributions. During my undergraduate studies, I also worked as a peer tutor and writing and research consultant, later serving as the Student Academic Success Center Coordinator at USC-Union, both as a student and in a full-time role after graduation. In addition to my academic background, I am an Army veteran. I am excited to be part of PC and look forward to supporting our students in achieving their academic and personal success.

Research or Areas of Specialty
My research lies at the intersection of sociology, psychology, and race studies. My most notable study examines unwarranted police brutality against African Americans and seeks to understand the implicit biases that contribute to this phenomenon. I have also conducted comparative research exploring race, racism, and slavery in Brazil and the United States. The focus of my research is to examine the implications of race from a sociological perspective while exploring the psychological mechanisms underlying marginalization, discrimination, and social injustice.
