Christie Mueller
Coordinator of College & Advancement EventsChristie Mueller first joined Presbyterian College in 2013 as Executive Assistant to the President and Board of Trustees, a role she held until her retirement in October 2019. After approximately three years away, she returned to PC when the Coordinator of College and Advancement Events position became available. Encouraged by the Director of Alumni Relations, formerly the Director of College and Advancement Events, Christie rejoined the College—and quickly became an integral part of the team once again.
In her role, Christie works closely with colleagues across campus and within the Advancement team. Drawn back by PC’s strong sense of community, she brings a deep appreciation for the planning and coordination required behind the scenes of successful events. For Christie, success is found when every detail comes together, guests are engaged, and the College is showcased at its best.
Commencement on Vance Plaza in May is Christie’s favorite PC tradition. She values the pride and emotion of watching graduates cross the stage, diploma in hand, celebrating a major milestone while saying goodbye to students she has come to know along the way. She also enjoys attending a wide range of campus events, including football, basketball, baseball, and softball games, as well as musical performances that keep campus lively throughout the year.
Outside of work, Christie enjoys relaxing at home with a good book, working in the yard, and spending time with friends. She also enjoys attending sporting events, dining at restaurants in Greenville, and traveling to Wisconsin to visit family.
And when Christie needs a little extra motivation, her go-to hype song is “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor because every great event deserves an equally great walk-up anthem.
