Dr. Courtney Addison is a full-time Assistant Professor and Doctoral Capstone Coordinator at Presbyterian College. Dr. Addison graduated from Guilford College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and has a master’s degree from Wesley College. Dr. Addison began her OT career as an OTA, graduating from Brown Mackie College and recently received her Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Addison’s clinical experience includes  acute care, assisted living, pediatrics, and orthopedics with professional commitment towards rural communities’ public health programming and driver safety rehabilitation. She is active with the Therapy Across Borders group out of Kenya; a nonprofit public benefit corporation focused on enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities, their families, and communities of need around the world through direct therapy services, education, and advocacy.

Dr. Addison’s research has focused on driver rehabilitation, human sex-trafficking advocacy, animal-assisted therapy, and rural community services.
