Within Psychology, many of my academic interests relate broadly to psychological well-being (especially for children, adolescents, and young adults), personal growth,
psychopathology (psychological disorders), and mental health counseling. In the past several years, students and I have explored topics like grit, life satisfaction, loneliness vs. social connection, belonging, and Existential Therapy.

Most of my applied training has been with Pre-K through 12th grade individuals, along with their families and in-school support networks (e.g., teachers, principals, school counselors). Specifically, I worked with many individuals who received Special Education (SPED) services for SPED eligibility categories like Autism Spectrum Disorder or Emotional Disturbance. This often included direct behavioral interventions, indirect consultations with parents and teachers, and/or individual counseling services.

As a proud 2013 PC alum, the liberal arts value of interdisciplinary lifelong learning has been ingrained in me. Outside of Psychology, I continue to be fascinated by certain aspects of history, politics, languages, literature, and creative writing. All of these are interests that were fostered and encouraged by my professors here at PC- many of whom are now my colleagues!
