Associate Clinical Director & Assistant Professor
Physician Assistant Program

MS in Physician Assistant Studies, Medical University of South Carolina
BS in Biochemistry, Clemson University

For more than fifteen years, my careers in hospital medicine and nephrology provided a rich tapestry of experiences across the healthcare spectrum. From the close-knit environment of a small community hospital to the fast-paced intensity of a Level 1 trauma center, I honed my skills in diagnosing and managing a wide array of acute and chronic conditions. Throughout this time, my approach to patient care remained rooted in the belief that compassion and thoroughness are not mutually exclusive. I strived to not only address the immediate medical needs of my patients but also to foster an environment of trust and understanding.

Driven by a deep-seated commitment to underserved and indigent populations, I consistently sought opportunities to advocate for their healthcare needs. This passion naturally extended to a desire to empower patients through comprehensive health education. I firmly believe that when individuals are equipped with knowledge about their conditions and treatment options, they become active participants in their own well-being, leading to better outcomes and greater satisfaction.

To amplify my impact and cultivate these values in the next generation of healthcare professionals, I have transitioned into the realm of academia. In this role, I am privileged to help shape future Physician Assistants, instilling in them the same dedication to compassionate, complete care and a heart for patient education and shared decision-making. It is incredibly rewarding to contribute to the development of clinicians who will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of their patients and communities.
