Dr. Tamika Lang is a board-certified Physician Assistant with specialized clinical experience in Internal and Palliative Medicine. She currently serves as the Admissions Director and Principal Faculty for the Physician Assistant program, where she is committed to cultivating clinically skilled, empathetic, and reflective healthcare professionals.
Dr. Lang holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fairfield University, a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Duke University School of Medicine, and a Doctor of Medical Science with a concentration in medical education from A.T. Still University. Her doctoral work focused on curriculum design, assessment, and innovative teaching strategies in PA education, specifically in the development of palliative medicine post-graduate fellowships.
In addition to her academic leadership, Dr. Lang maintains clinical practice as a hospitalist in Greenville, South Carolina. Her clinical experience includes the comprehensive management of adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic conditions, as well as end-of-life care. She integrates her clinical experience into teaching to bridge the gap between foundational sciences and real-world clinical application.
As Admissions Director, Dr. Lang is passionate about mentoring future Physician Assistants and fostering the personal and professional qualities that contribute to a resilient, empathetic, and skilled healthcare workforce. She values a thoughtful admissions process and takes pride in supporting students throughout their development as future healthcare professionals.
