8:30am – 11:30am (breakfast from 8:30 – 9am)
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required for seating capacity purposes.
Participants will be immersed in a half day of meaningful, relevant, and fun professional development workshop focused on the ideals of the Neuroscience of Play in Learning with the main goal of learning best practice and pedagogical strategies that can be implemented in their learning spaces. The work encompasses ALL educators both general and special education as the work of play is for everyone: student, teacher, admin, regardless of ability.
The Charles H. Chadwell Endowment for Special Education was established at PC in 1984 by Francis E. Cothran and his wife, Jean Syminton Cothran. Part of the endowment provides seminars, lectures, and workshops led by recognized authorities in fields related to special education. These events promote a better understanding of the circumstances faced by individuals with disabilities and their families.
