Get Ready For Move-In Day

Move-In Day is one of the most exciting and memorable moments of the year for college students. Whether you’re stepping onto campus for the first time or returning for another great year—it’s a time filled with anticipation, fresh beginnings, and the start of new friendships.

To find your specific move-in date, new students should visit the New Student Orientation page, while returning students can check the Academic Calendar for important arrival information. We can’t wait to welcome you home to PC!

You and your guests must check in inside Smith Administration Building when you arrive on campus. The only exception to this arrival location will be pre-approved early arrivals, who will be provided specific information on how to arrive on campus. All students and guests will need to complete the check-in process.

Check-in for new PC students is on August the 21st from 9am to 1pm and returning students on August the 23rd from 9am to 3pm. Students must complete move-in requirements including the items on their Blue Hose Checklist (for new students) and any outstanding balances or other requirements for which they have been notified via their PC email (for returning students) prior to receiving their key on move-in day.

Several campus offices will have check-in areas set up in Springs Student Center. You’ll check in to the following areas when you go to Springs Student Center:

  • Admissions (check-in)
  • The Business Office/Student Accounts
  • Campus Police (parking passes)
  • Financial Aid
  • Health Services (drop off paperwork if necessary)
  • Residence Life (ID cards and keys for new students)

Please complete as much information as you can for these offices electronically before you arrive on campus.

If you have questions or concerns about housing, please email the Residence Life office (reslife@presby.edu) or call them at 864-833-8277. The office is open between 8:30 and 5:00 Monday through Friday.

If you’re living in a residence hall, you may choose the Standard meal plan (default) or Freedom Meal Plan (additional cost with additional Bonus Bucks). You may select the 170-block meal plan if you live in Spradley, the Townhouses, or the Staton Hall, or you are student teaching this Fall semester. An additional meal plan is available if you are a commuter. Visit our AVI dining website for more information on all meal plan options.

Please contact the Residence Life Office if you are an approved commuter and are interested in a limited meal plan. If you need to make a change, please do so immediately by emailing Residence Life (reslife@presby.edu) with your name, ID number, and the plan to which you would like to be changed. We are unable to make changes once classes begin, so please do this as soon as possible.

Please check BannerWeb to confirm your roommate for the fall semester. Some students’ room assignments have changed recently.

If you have been assigned a new roommate, their contact information should be in BannerWeb for you to connect with them. Spaces cannot be held in double rooms. You might have been assigned a new roommate if you had a space open in your room.

If you do not currently have an assigned roommate, please be aware that we continue to make assignments even as the start of the academic year approaches. It is most likely there are no single rooms and very few remaining open spaces available at this time.

We’re excited you’re moving in and are looking forward to a great year together! If you have any questions or concerns, please email the Residence Life office (reslife@presby.edu) or call 864-833-8277
