
Presbyterian College has named Elizabeth Oswald-Sease vice president for finance and administration. She will serve as the college’s chief financial and business officer and join president Dr. Anita Gustafson’s cabinet.
She will begin her new role on Jan. 1, 2026.
Oswald-Sease currently serves as vice president of finance and operations and chief financial officer at the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM). With more than 15 years of experience in higher education finance and operations, she has served various colleges and universities in South Carolina.
In her new role, Oswald-Sease will manage financial planning, business operations, campus services, IT, risk management, capital projects, and compliance. She will work closely with the president and the Board of Trustees to steward the college’s resources and support long-term sustainability and institutional mission.

At GSSM, Oswald-Sease oversees finance, procurement, human resources, facilities, dining, public safety, contracts, and risk management. Previously, she managed a $300 million budget and led a finance team at the University of South Carolina College of Arts and Sciences.
She also led HR and business operations at the USC School of Law, developed its strategic plan, and held various finance and procurement positions at Winthrop University.
A first-generation college graduate and South Carolina native, Oswald-Sease graduated Summa Cum Laude from Winthrop University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and finished second in her graduating class. She later earned a Master of Arts in History, completing thesis work on the media’s role in shaping public memory of Abraham Lincoln in South Carolina.
She holds a Master of Business Administration and a graduate certificate in business analytics from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business and is certified as a South Carolina Procurement Officer.

Oswald-Sease is the editor-in-chief of The Quarterly, a publication of the York County Genealogical and Historical Society. She and her husband live in Ridgeway.
