Presbyterian College stands firmly for the values of open dialogue, respectful disagreement, and spirited debate. The murder of Charlie Kirk should be universally condemned, because we must cherish and protect the rights of all to express their point of view – freely and without fear of intimidation or violence – just as much as we must protect the right to express our own.
We expect everyone in our community to model the type of behavior and engagement we want to see on our campus. Commitment to respectful debate depends on all of us for democracy to prevail. To be clear, individual faculty members do not speak on behalf of the college.
