Where Asia Meets The Heart of PC

The Center for South Korean and Asian Studies connects PC’s campus to the vibrant and diverse cultural and intellectual life of Asia. For domestic students, the Center provides a number of short-term and semester-long academic and research programs in Korea, Japan, and China, as well as the opportunity to study the languages of these three countries. For degree-seeking students from Korea and other Asian countries, the Center supports and facilitates admission to both our undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as short-term or semester-long programs on campus. With a devoted living-learning facility on campus, Carol International House, the Center facilitates cross-cultural dialogue and enrichment between American students and our friends from across Asia.

KOREA SCHOLARS PROGRAM

In the Korea Scholars program, students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Korean culture, history, language, and global influence. Korea Scholars immerse themselves in transformative experiences on-campus and abroad as they build relationships with other Korean students and engage Korean culture firsthand.

Faculty Exchange Program

The Faculty Exchange Program at the Center for South Korea and Asian Studies (CSKAS) connects our academic community with faculty from partner institutions across South Korea and Asia, fostering collaborative research, innovative curriculum development, and cross-cultural exchange. In recent exchanges, faculty members from both institutions have enriched classroom experiences and supported joint research projects, including PC’s Professional Writing course for Hannam University students and reciprocal language and culture studies. Notably, our faculty members and scholars from Hannam University and other partner institutions have engaged in mutual visits, guest lectures, and sabbaticals, enhancing cross-cultural learning and professional growth.
