Jacobs Science Hall & Library, 1915

Jacobs Hall was built on the Presbyterian College campus in 1915 at the cost of $30,000. Named for William Plumber Jacobs, the founder of Presbyterian College, it originally included a basketball court and auditorium, a library with reading and study rooms, and labs for chemistry, physics, and biology. At other times it also housed PC’s Black Magic Theater, art activities, and the ROTC program. After an extensive renovation in 1987, Jacobs now houses the Business, Economics, and Military Science departments, as well as the Chapman Conference Center, which was renovated in 2008.
