Newly renovated Georgia Hall, 2015

Georgia Hall dormitory, built to accommodate 255 male students, was completed in 1968. The four-story building was designed by Six Associates of Asheville, NC, designers of six buildings built on campus during that previous decade. Funded by both the Synod of Georgia and by a federal loan, the $1 million facility is PC’s largest dormitory, built at a time when PC’s enrollment had reached a record of 720 students.

In the summer of 2014 during planned updates of the ventilation and plumbing systems, a burst water pipe flooded the building, forcing a major renovation of the building. Male students were housed at Thornwell and the Quality Inn during the fall term. Due to the quick response by Harper Corporation of Greenville, students moved their belongings back into the building before Christmas Break. Georgia Hall was re-dedicated on January 15, 2015.
