The Board of Trustees of Presbyterian College established the William Plumer Jacobs Society in 1982 to recognize and honor those individuals, churches, foundations, and corporations who provide outstanding support to the College. Named for the founder of the College, the Society celebrates annually with the trustees, faculty and administration. The celebration provides an opportunity for Presbyterian College to express appreciation for the extraordinary generosity of Society members and welcome new and advancing members to the group. Beginning in 1983, the College has saluted distinguished members at the annual meeting of the William Plumer Jacobs Society.

The Society will have a formal dinner to recognize and celebrate the new, advancing, and distinguished members of the William Plumer Jacobs Society. Following the dinner, there will be the First Annual Tartan Gathering–a celebration of our Patrons, Guardians, and Leadership Annual Donors, with members of the William Plumer Jacobs Society as honored guests.
