Join us in Springs Student Center! Springs Student Center is home to the Fitness Center, Scotsman’s Corner, Moe’s, the POD with Starbucks coffee, Boar’s Head Deli, basketball court, and game rooms. If you’re looking for a place to relax with friends, get a cup of coffee, or pick up a new PC t-shirt; Springs Student Center is the place to be! Equipment is available for each of our offerings; all you need is your PC ID card. Springs Student Center also provides employment opportunities for many students looking to gain valuable work experiences and earn a little extra cash.

Springs Fitness Center Hours

Monday – Thursday: 7 – 10 a.m.; 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.; 3 – 11 p.m.
Friday: 7 – 10 a.m.; 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.; 3 – 10 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday: Noon – 11 p.m.

Fitness equipment and resources include Basketball Court, Full Cardio Suite, Dumbbells, Selectorized Strength Equipment, Kettlebells, Battle Ropes and Resistance Bands, Dumbbells, Slam Balls from Kettlebell Kings & Living.Fit, and more.

  • The 2nd floor will be offline for extensive cleaning from
    • 2 – 3 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
    • and 10 – 11 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • The 3rd floor will be offline for extensive cleaning from
    • 10 – 11 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
    • and 2 – 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • The Fitness Center will close at 10 p.m. on Friday & Saturday, and 11 p.m. on Sunday so the staff can do a thorough cleaning of the facility.
  • The Basketball Court will be open for shoot-around, a friendly game of H-O-R-S-E, and a maximum of 2 vs. 2 volleyball. Reserve through the BlueHose App or on IMLeague.com. Availability will be on
    • Monday – Thursdays, starting at 7 p.m. on Monday
    • Friday – Sunday, starting at 3 p.m. on Friday
  • In order to follow our capacity limits and social distancing measures, the Basketball Court will have limited capacity as well as these safety measures and policies:
    • MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES: Participants are required to wear masks at all times
    • No Sharing Equipment: Participants are not permitted to share equipment, with the exception of volleyball.
    • Strongly Encouraged to Bring Your Own Equipment: Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own equipment to the gym. There are basketballs available for checkout. When the basketballs are checked out, they will be cleaned after each session.
    • No Pick-Up Games: H-O-R-S-E is permitted. If there are users on both halves of the court, they may not start a game of 1-on-1 or pick-up games; however, they may play a game of H-O-R-S-E, permitted that they remain socially distant and follow the guidelines above. Failure to follow directions may result in loss of usage.

Scotsman's Corner

Holiday Notice: The Scotsman’s Corner will be open Monday through Friday from 1o a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. until December 17 and then close for winter break. We will reopen on Monday, January 11, 2021.  The retail website is open 24/7 for online shopping.

PC Mail Center

Holiday Notice: The PC Mail Center is open with regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm.  The mail center will close for winter break at 5 pm on December 17 and reopen on January 4, 2021.

Springs Fitness Center: COVID-19 Guidelines

  • All patrons must reserve their time through the BlueHose App (Apple App StoreGoogle Play) or IMLeagues.com (must sign-up/log-in with PC information & verify account).
    • Sign-up begins 25 hours before the scheduled time.
  • All patrons must check-in with the staff on the 2nd floor. No direct access to the 3rd floor.
  • All patrons must be prepared to show their PC ID. Failure to follow staff directions may result in loss of access.
  • Masks must be worn while traveling between equipment.
  • All patrons and staff should maintain a 6 ft distance.
  • All patrons must bring their own workout mat. Mats will not be available for check-out.

Springs Fitness Center Policies:

  1. Reserve Time – Use BLUEHOSE app or IMLeagues browser to reserve your workout time.
  2. Access – Only PC Students, Faculty & Staff have access to use the Fitness Center.
    • During COVID, no guests are permitted.
  3. Dress Code – Shirts must be worn to limit skin exposure to equipment and closed toe non-marking shoes must be worn to avoid scuff marks.
  4. Check-In – All patrons must check-in with staff on the 2nd floor.
  5. Show ID – All patrons must be prepared to show PC ID upon request.
    • IDs are not transferable for use by others.
  6. Be Respectful – Be respectful and courteous to others around you.
  7. Music – Play at a reasonable volume. Be respectful of others; no gratuitous cursing or demeaning music. Your music should not be heard outside of workout area.
  8. Share Space – During peak hours, allow others to work between sets.
  9. Be Organized – Re-rack weights when finished with them,
  10. Clean ­– Sanitize the equipment before and after use with the wipes provided around you.
  11. No Reckless Maneuvers – Equipment is to be used in the manner it was designed. Use clips and collars on all barbell exercises.
  12. Protect the Equipment – Weights and dumbbells are NOT to be placed on benches.
  13. Lift within Your Limits – During COVID, patrons should lift within their limits.
  14. Wear. Your. Mask. – If one participant is within 6’ of the other, BOTH participants must have their mask in the proper position.
    • Masks may be removed when beyond 6’ of another user.
  15. Food & Drink – No food or open drink containers are allowed in the Fitness Center or Basketball Court.
  16. Follow All Staff Directions & Instructions – Failure to do so may result in loss of access privileges. Recreation staff reserve the right to modify any programs or procedures which may result in personal injury or damage to the equipment

  *Student Involvement reserves the right to modify the policies at any point.

Basketball Court Policies:

In order to safely use the space, the following policies must be followed:

  1. Reserve the Space on IMLEAGUES/BLUEHOSE App – In order to shoot-around, time must be reserved through the app. Users may reserve two 30-minute blocks if they so choose.
  2. MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES – Even if you are playing with your roommate or close friend you spend every waking moment with, all Open Rec and Intramural Sports participants must have their mask on properly. If it falls down while in action, promptly replace it as soon as the play ends.
    • PARTICIPANTS WHO VIOLATE THIS POLICY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE COURT!
  3. Limited Pick Up Games Allowed – Participants are permitted to play pick-up basketball UP TO 3 vs. 3 (i.e. 1 vs. 1; 2 vs. 2; 3 vs. 3).
  4. Limited Capacity – In order to follow our capacity limits and social distancing measures, the following capacity limits must be followed.
    • Basketball + Volleyball Reserved = 14 people max (6 individuals shooting baskets + 8 individuals passing the volleyball)
  5. Strongly Encouraged to Bring Own Equipment – Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own equipment to the gym. We will have old basketballs available for checkout. The balls checked out will be cleaned after each session.
