Presbyterian College to Host CHAMPS 20th Anniversary Celebration

Presbyterian College to Host CHAMPS 20th Anniversary Celebration

The 20th anniversary of Presbyterian College’s CHAMPS program will take place on Saturday, Oct. 31 at Bailey Memorial Stadium. The CHAMPS program is an initiative supported by the PC family and the Laurens County community that strives to motivate and challenge students who may not otherwise have the opportunities to fulfill their highest educational potential.

The reunion will begin with a tailgate at 12 p.m., and a barbecue lunch will be provided for all CHAMPS alumni in attendance. Tickets for additional family members will also be available for purchase.

Also during the celebration, the CHAMPS Scholarship will be renamed the Jerman Disasa Scholarship to honor the man who served as the program director for 17 years. This award consists of a full-ride scholarship given by PC to one CHAMPS participant each year who enrolls at PC.

At 2 p.m., the Blue Hose will take on the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs, and all CHAMPS supporters and alumni are welcome to attend the game and cheer on the Hose. Those attending must pay for parking and their tickets to the game.

CHAMPS supporters and alumni are encouraged to wear their CHAMPS shirts during the celebration and show their support as those that have made CHAMPS such a great organization over the past 20 years are honored.

Please register for this event online.
