Open House for the Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program Set for Oct. 26

PC will host an Open House for the Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program on Oct. 26. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon in the Harrington-Peachtree Center Amphitheatre.

“This is officially our first-ever event,” said Dr. Nathan Herz, founding chair of PC’s Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program. “We couldn’t be more excited to meet potential applicants who want to take the next step in their careers as occupational therapists.”

During the Open House, Herz and Dr. Jacqueline Schafer Clay, director of clinical education, will answer questions about applying to the program and about the program itself.

They’ll focus on the application process, program prerequisites, and the program curriculum. They’ll also cover what makes the PC OTD Program different from others.

“The program will provide students opportunities to be involved in the community and opportunities to use cutting-edge technologies found in occupational therapy,” Herz said.

The OTD Program is currently going through the accreditation process and is scheduled to begin in January 2021. Applications will be accepted beginning in April 2020.

The program will apply for approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges at the appropriate time.
