What activities and organizations were you involved in as an undergraduate?

I was a member of Transylvania County Rescue Squad. I was able to receive my EMT-B certification during my time with this department. I also worked part-time as a CNA and medical secretary for Hendersonville Pediatrics all through undergrad.

What did you do after you graduated?

After graduation I was able to join Hendersonville Pediatrics full time as a medical secretary/CNA for two years.

If you’ve done any volunteer work, please list what you’ve done and where.

I have gone on several mission trips with Grace Baptist Church in Brevard, N.C., where I was able to help different communities in the US and share about Jesus to those in need.

How or why did you become involved in this volunteer work?

Missions have always had a special place in my heart. Being able to connect with people when they are hurting or when they don’t have anyone else truly makes my heart happy.

What are some of your hobbies or interests?

I love to read, watch Netflix and enjoy going on walks with my two dogs. One of my most favorite interests right now is spending quality time with my nephew.

Please include any family information if you’d like.

My family is everything to me, and I would not be the person I am today without their daily prayers, guidance and love.

Why do you want to be a PA?

Becoming a physician assistant has been a dream of mine for years. Being able to be a part of a team where the goal is to provide the best care possible for the patient is a huge part of why I decided on this field. I also feel that the versatility of this profession will help me not only grow professionally but personally as well.

Why did you choose the Presbyterian College PA Program?

I chose PC because of the mission and values the school upholds. Being a part of a smaller class size was also an added bonus due to my undergraduate experience at Brevard College. The small-knit community of PC makes it feel a lot more like home for me.
