What to Bring on Move-In

Welcome to the PC family! We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you in your transition to college life at PC. Please take a moment to read through the following information before you start packing!

What is Provided:

The College provides each student with a furnished room with a bed, Twin mattress (Twin XL), desk, desk chair, and dresser. For more information about what is provided in each room, look at your building under Our Residences.

Custodial service is provided for community areas and community bathrooms in the residence halls. Students are responsible for the proper upkeep of their rooms and bathrooms. Maintenance services can repair damage in rooms throughout the year when requested as they may occur.

To prevent damage, you are not allowed to nail items to the walls. The school does not endorse any adhesive hanging strips.

What to Bring:

  • Shower curtain
  • Bath mat
  • Laundry basket or bag and detergent
  • Pillow
  • Towels
  • Rug
  • Bedspread/comforter
  • Twin XL Sheets
  • Mattress pad
  • Lamp
  • Broom and dustpan
  • Trashcan
    • only one is provided for you
  • A power strip
    • (one with a flush 90-degree plug is suggested to save space)
  • Ethernet cord for computer
    • (if you do not want to use the PC wireless internet)
  • Coat hangers
  • Clothes for a variety of seasons and events
  • Alarm clock
  • Iron and ironing board
  • A coffee pot without warmers
  • Curtains and tension rods (they must be fire-resistant)
  • TV
  • Refrigerator
    • (may not exceed 4.2 cubic feet)
  • Microwave

Prohibited Items on Campus:

  • Candles or Candle warmers
  • Incense
  • Oil lamps
  • Combustible Materials
    • Lighter fluid, motor oil, fireworks, propane, and gasoline
    • Any high-heat appliance with an exposed heating element
    • Toasters
  • Extension cords
  • Wireless internet routers
  • Pets
  • Lava lamps
  • Glass bottles or containers (the exception being apartments with kitchen units)
  • Bed lofters
  • Weapons, toys representing weapons, or decorative weapons of any kind
