PC has been committed to serving the local community throughout its history. PC students volunteer their time by helping those in need across Laurens County – from tutoring elementary school students to packing meals for those in need.
Transformational Service in Laurens County
If you’re a Laurens County (S.C.) resident, you can participate in PC’s rich tradition of service by becoming a Laurens County Service Scholar. As a Service Scholar, you’ll receive a total annual award of $30,000 while you serve 30 hours per semester in an area of need such as:
- Serving children and families
- Caring for the elderly
- Volunteering in the healthcare field
- Caring for creation
- Serving those who face food insecurity
- Many others

Apply to PC by December 1 and submit the Laurens Service Scholarship application by March 15, 2025 to be considered for the Laurens County Service Scholarship.
The Laurens County Service Scholarship is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study if you maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and complete the required number of service hours each semester.
The Laurens County Service Scholarship cannot be combined with other PC merit scholarships or programs.
