Laurens County Service Scholarship

If you’re a Laurens County (S.C.) resident, you could be eligible for the $30,000 yearly Laurens County Service Scholarship. This exclusive award is for students from PC’s home county to provide transformational service right here at home.

PC has been committed to serving the local community throughout its history. PC students volunteer their time by helping those in need across Laurens County – from tutoring elementary school students to packing meals for those in need.

If you’re a Laurens County (S.C.) resident, you can participate in PC’s rich tradition of service by becoming a Laurens County Service Scholar. As a Service Scholar, you’ll receive a $30,000 total annual award while you serve 30 hours per semester with a local partner organization, including:

• Presbyterian Community
• Thornwell
• United Ministries of Clinton
• United Way of Laurens County
• Whitten Center
• Fellowship Camp and Conference Center and many others

As a Laurens County Service Scholarship recipient, you’ll have much more than opportunities to transform your community. PC’s liberal arts education will empower you to create meaningful, lasting change.

With the support of our community, you’ll graduate with the confidence to move forward and make the world a better, more just, and equitable place.

Apply to PC by December 1 and submit the Laurens Service Scholarship application by March 15, 2024 to be considered for the Laurens County Service Scholarship.

The Laurens County Service Scholarship is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study if you maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and complete the required number of service hours each semester.

The Laurens County Service Scholarship cannot be combined with other PC merit scholarships or programs.
