WHAT YOU’LL STUDY

You can earn a minor in religion and philosophy by successfully completing 18 hours of specified religion courses at or above the 2000-level.

One semester or junior year of study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country is recommended for all minors. If you exempt Spanish 2001 or above as a result of the placement, you’ll be required to complete additional electives to achieve the minimum number of hours for the minor.

You’ll need to make at least a “C” in each course to earn a minor in Spanish, although you might be allowed to make one “D.” The Department of Modern Foreign Languages may specify certain courses that you’ll need to make at least a “C” in, and you’ll need to make an overall average of “C” or better on all work presented for the minor.

You must take at least half of the hours required for the minor at PC. The Provost must approve any substitutions to the requirements of the Spanish minor prior to completion of the amended requirement.

Speak with your advisor or the chair of the modern foreign languages department about minimum grades allowed and any additional requirements for the Spanish minor.
