Family Weekend 2021

We are thrilled to welcome the parents and families of our students to campus for Family Weekend, September 3-5, 2021.

We have planned a weekend full of activities for you and the whole family to enjoy. All families planning to attend Family Weekend must pre-register here. Priority Registration ends on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Participants who register by this date are guaranteed a t-shirt. Late Registration closes Friday, August 27, 2021. On-site registration will not be available, however individual items such as meals, game tickets, etc. may still be purchased on site while supplies last.

The schedule of events is detailed below! There will also be a weekend long scavenger hunt, the winners of which will win a prize! We are excited to see you in September! For questions, please email us at parents@presby.edu.

Friday, September 3

Family Weekend Check-In #1

2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Spring Student Center

All pre-registered guests should check-in to receive their t-shirt, family weekend schedule, and BBQ meal tickets. On-site registration not available. All guests must pre-register.

Weekend-Long Scavenger Hunt

All weekend, guests and students can participate in the Family Weekend GooseChase Scavenger Hunt. GooseChase is an app that you can download for free – the game’s missions will take you around campus to complete tasks for points. The person/team with the most points at the end of the game will win a special prize! You can download and join the game today! Participants can join the game by following these simple steps:

  1. Download the GooseChase iOS or Android app.
  2. Choose to play as a guest, or register for a personal account.
  3. Search for and select the PC Family Weekend 2021 game, or search by game code KMM63Z.
  4. Follow the prompts to create your team.

Family Reception with President Matthew P. vadenBerg

4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
President’s House

President vandenBerg and First Lady Melissa vandenBerg would like to invite all PC parents and families, along with their students, to a reception at the President’s house. Mingle with other families, meet President vandenBerg, learn about the Parent and Family Council, and enjoy refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres. Registration required. Please note this event is outside. In the event of inclement weather we will send rain location information to your registered email address.

Late Night with Student Life

9 p.m. – Midnight
Bailey Memorial Stadium

Ever wondered what it is like at the football stadium after dark? Well grab your dancing shoes and come out to this late night event at Bailey Memorial Stadium! There will be DJs, games, food, and a cash bar – you won’t want to miss this!

Saturday, September 4

Games, Scavenger Hunt, and More!

Spring Student Center

Grab your student and play some games! Board games, billiards, ping pong, magnet toss, and foosball will be available to hang out and get to know other PC families.

Parent and Family Council Gathering

9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Remarks from President Matthew P. vadenBerg and College Leadership

11 a.m. – Noon
Belk Auditorium

All parents, families, and students are invited to hear from Presbyterian College President Matthew P. vandenBerg, Dr. Kerry Pannell, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Joy Smith, Vice President of Campus Life and Dean of Students. This is an event you won’t want to miss!

Barbeque Tailgate Lunch

Noon – 2 p.m.
Outside of Bailey Memorial Stadium

Join us for lunch outside Bailey Memorial Stadium as we get ready to take on the St. Andrews Knights. Lunch will include pulled BBQ chicken, pulled BBQ pork, coleslaw, baked beans, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, hush puppies, dessert, and iced tea. Registration required for all guests. PC students eat for free with a meal plan.

4 p.m.
Bailey Memorial Stadium

Cheer on the Presbyterian College Blue Hose as they take on the St. Andrews Knights Both single game tickets and season tickets are available for purchase. Single game tickets will be available 2-weeks prior to the game. Please note that PC students get into the football games for free and do not need a ticket. Go, Hose!

Sunday, September 5

Worship Service

10 a.m.
Outside Chapel, Rain Location: Cornelson Center Lobby

Join us for Worship led by PC’s Religious Life and student groups.

Sunday Brunch

11 a.m.
Greenville Dining Hall

Enjoy brunch at the Greenville Dining hall. Meals can be purchased at the door. PC students eat for free with a meal plan.

Take I-26 West toward Spartanburg to Exit 54. Turn left onto Highway 72.

From Greenville, S.C.

Take I-385 South toward Columbia to Exit 2. Turn right and travel about 2 miles until you must veer right.

From Spartanburg, S.C.

Take I-26 East toward Columbia to Exit 52. Turn right onto Highway 56. Travel on 56 until it intersects with Highway 72. Turn right onto Highway 72.

From Asheville, N.C.

Take I-26 East to Spartanburg; see directions from Spartanburg.

Take I-77 South toward Columbia to Exit 65. Turn right onto Highway 9 and go to Chester. In Chester, turn left onto Highway 72, and take Highway 72 to Clinton.

Take I-95 N in Hardeeville from US-17 N. Follow I-95 N and I-26 W to SC-72 W in Clinton. Take exit 54 from I-26 W. Follow SC-72 W and N Adair St to Presbyterian College Rd.

Get on I-95 N from E State St. Follow I-95 N and I-26 W to SC-72 W in Clinton. Take exit 54 from I-26 W. Follow SC-72 W and N Adair St to Presbyterian College Rd.

Follow 19th Ave SE and 3rd St S to I-175 W. Follow I-275 N and I-75 N to FL-326 E in Marion County.
