School of Pharmacy Summer Camp

Join us for a week this summer and work with PC faculty to create hands-on experiences, live on-campus, and learn more about pharmacy. Each day will be a new topic with new and exciting experiments.

WHO: From rising sophomores in high school to rising freshmen in college

WHAT: Pharmacy Summer Camp

WHEN: Sunday, June 23 – Saturday, June 29, 2024

WHERE: Residential students will reside in PC residence halls for the week. Commuting students will join us each day for activities at the School of Pharmacy but will not stay on campus in the residence halls, nor eat in the dining hall. Commuting students will need to bring their own lunch and/or cover the cost of their meals in the dining hall on campus.

WHY: The goal of this week-long camp is to provide students with an overview of the different fields of pharmacy and their relationship to patient health, disease, and society.  Students will learn primarily through hands-on experiences and experiments. Students will keep a notebook and will express their results by graphs and calculations.  The course is designed for students with an interest in pharmacy and other biomedical sciences (including careers in pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, laboratory research, etc.).  The course is taught by pharmacists, biomedical scientists, and medicinal chemists.

COST: $400 for the week (scholarship information available upon request) / Commuter Option: $200
