Students-CareerDevelopment

Welcome PC Students!

The Career and Professional Development Office is staffed by friendly professionals trained to assist students with career-related concerns like choosing a major, searching for a job, and graduate school test preparation. We can help you sort out the many career paths available to you and answer the typical question “what can I do with a major in …”?

Our staff members work closely with the employers who may hire you someday. We talk to them about hiring trends and frequently invite them to connect with the campus. They also post internships and job openings on our online job board. We can help you arrange informational interviews and job shadowing experiences so that you observe and interact with professionals in a field of interest.

After your sophomore year when you have decided on a major, we want you to obtain an internship to gain professional work experience and to begin building your network within your chosen profession. You become a more competitive job seeker with this experience. And yes, we can help you create an awesome résumé, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile which reflects your academic, work, and co-curricular experiences.

We prepare you for job interviewing and can provide assistance with graduate school applications. Plus we host many career events and provide many career-related resources in our office and online.
