Welcome home, Blue Hose

Welcome home, Blue Hose

When PC students move in this month, they can expect fun, informative events and a big welcome from the PC and local business community.

New student move-in will take place Saturday, Aug. 18.

Local businesses have sponsored a move-in T-shirt, and students will find a business guide in their rooms.

“We are so excited to be a part of Move-In day,” said Janice Long, co-owner of CrossFit 864. “Over the past few years we have had the joy of training with several PC students, and we consider them an integral part of our CrossFit 864 community.”

Volunteers will be on site as we welcome our new students and their families to campus.

Move-In Day Events

Several activities will also take place during the day.

Those looking to cool off can Beat the Heat with Greeks from noon until 4 p.m. Snow cones will be available at the drop-in event in front of Springs Student Center.

Fraternity men and sorority women will be present to talk to anyone interested in learning more about recruitment or joining a fraternity or sorority on campus. People are also encouraged to just stop by and cool down with a snow cone.

Two Honors Sessions, led by the Honor Council, will be held in Edmunds Hall. The event orients new students to the Honor Code and how it impacts life on the PC campus.

PC President Bob Staton will host a dinner for students at the President’s House from 6-8 p.m.

Students will meet in their residence halls later in the evening and can join a Food, Friends and Fun event at Springs from 9 p.m. to midnight.
