Spring Concert to Feature American Folk Songs

The Presbyterian College Wind Ensemble will present its spring concert on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Belk Auditorium.

This year’s concert will feature an homage to America with patriotic works and American folk songs. Along with many familiar tunes, the ensemble will play songs from American popular culture.

Composers such as Glenn Miller, George Gershwin, as well as tunes from great movies of the American West, such as The Magnificent Seven and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, will be featured.

All in all, the evening will be full of entertaining and enjoyable music which presents a portion of the widely varying landscape of American music.

Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.
