PC Celebrates Black History Month

Presbyterian College will celebrate Black History Month with several events scheduled throughout the month of February.

Dr. Booker T. Ingram Jr. Convocation & Lecture
Wednesday, February 2
6 p.m. | Kuhne Auditorium, Neville Hall

Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 6 p.m. in Kuhne Auditorium to hear former S.C. Sen.  Floyd Nicholson of Greenwood as he speaks on “From the Sixties, the Orangeburg Massacre to now, 2022.”

Equality & Inclusion Night with PC Men’s Basketball
Wednesday, February 2
7 p.m. | Templeton Gym

Wear all black as we cheer on and support our Blue Hose Men’s Basketball team against  the Campbell Camels.

Equality & Inclusion Night with PC Women’s Basketball
Saturday, February 12
2 p.m. | Templeton Gym

Wear all black to the Women’s Basketball Game on Saturday, Feb. 12, and cheer on our Blue Hose as they take on the NC A&T Aggies!

“Leave Your Imprint” Graffiti Wall Mural
Tuesday, February 15
10 a,m, – 1:30 p.m. | Springs Front Lawn

A fun and creative way to promote unity on PC’s campus. Stop by and “leave your mark” by painting an expression of unity, equality, and peace on the wall. Graffiti is an art form popularized through hip hop that has often been used to promote messages of social change. All materials will be provided.

Black Lives (Still) Matter: A Panel & Fishbowl Conversation
Tuesday, February 15
8 p.m. – 9 p.m. | Neville 122

A forum to discuss the importance and significance of Black Lives (Still) Matter will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m. The PC Bluefish-sponsored event will be held in Neville 122. Fishbowl is a forum that brings students, faculty, and other members of the PC community together for respectful dialogue across various topics. This event is also sponsored by Multicultural Student Union and PC NAAC.

Cornelson Lobby, Reception

Join us on Thursday, Feb. 17, in Kuhne Auditorium for our Black Alumni Panel and Reception. After the event in Kuhne, you are invited to a reception in the Cornelson Center Lobby to install our new Multicultural Student Union officers. This event is sponsored by Career & Professional Development and the Multicultural Student Union.
