Presbyterian College class of 2019, Cum Laude
Major: Biology

What activities and organizations were you involved in as an undergraduate?

Presbyterian College softball team, Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, Pre-PA club

What did you do after you graduated?

I worked as a CNA and a scribe at a pediatrician’s office.

If you’ve done any volunteer work, please list what you’ve done and where.

I volunteered as a Sunday school teacher for children for the past year at First Baptist Church in my hometown.

How or why did you become involved in this volunteer work?

After my church began reopening after the shutdown at the beginning of the pandemic, my church could not find enough volunteers to teach Sunday school for the children. I decided to volunteer to serve and lead the children.

What are some of your hobbies or interests?

I love sports and I am always watching, playing, or coaching some sport. I also love to cook and especially love to bake.

Please include any family information if you’d like.

My family includes two amazing parents, my mom Deidra, and my dad Charlie, an older brother and a younger sister. I have a little nephew and a niece. I have both of my paternal grandparents. I also have a cat named Merle.

Please let us know about anything weird, quirky, or unusual that you’d like to share.

I have a bad habit of twirling my hair.

Why do you want to be a PA?

When I was younger, I was fortunate enough to have had an experience with my maternal grandmother that instilled a passion in me to want to join the medical field. After attending undergrad at PC, I left with a passion to serve. I chose to become a PA to live my life leading and serving others.

Why did you choose Presbyterian College PA Program?

Presbyterian College has a home feel to it and everyone here is like family. I chose PC’s PA program because of my wonderful undergrad experience. Returning to PC felt like I was coming back home.
