What activities and organizations were you involved in as an undergraduate?
The Choraleers, For The Kids
What did you do after you graduated?
I became EMT certified and started working for Greenville County EMS.
If you’ve done any volunteer work, please list what you’ve done and where.
Child care at Serenity Place, Packing supply kits at North American Rescue, Teaching Stop The Bleed, Volunteer at YouthBASE after-school program
How or why did you become involved in this volunteer work?
I love helping and working with kids. Volunteering to watch kids while their parents went through support group therapy sessions was a worthwhile experience. Because I also believe early education is essential, I helped with an after-school program to improve the learning needs of children in reading, writing, and math.
What are some of your hobbies or interests?
In my free time, I enjoy painting and watching movies.
Please include any family information if you’d like.
I’m extremely lucky to have my family and support system close by! My mom and stepdad live in the upstate. My two younger sisters also live in the upstate. My father and stepmom live just over the border into Georgia. My sister, Ally, is studying to be a teacher and a mom to my adorable baby niece, Emma! My youngest sister, Gabby, is an esthetician in Greenville. My best friend, Jessica, has graciously allowed me to live with her while I am in PA School!
Please let us know about anything weird, quirky, or unusual that you’d like to share.
I’m a HUGE Dolly Parton fan!
Why do you want to be a PA?
I’ve always wanted to go into the medical field, and more specifically, pediatrics. I knew I wanted to find a way to help people in the best way possible. When I first discovered the PA profession and the relationships that PAs build with their patients, I knew right then that it was perfect for me!
Why did you choose Presbyterian College PA Program?
I love everything about the program here at PC. Clinton reminds me of where I went for my undergrad, and it just gave me that sense of home! The faculty and staff here genuinely care about their students and want us to succeed, and it was easy to see that during the interview process. It was an easy choice for me! From the first day I walked onto campus, it was like I was coming back home, so I knew it was the perfect choice!
