John Jeselnik ’73 – Mary F. Lehman Award
For his steadfast work and service to generations of Presbyterian College alumni, John Jeselnik ’73 is this year’s winner of the Mary F. Lehman Service to Alumni Award.
He and his wife, Alison ’73, are longtime supporters of the PC Fund and the Scotsman Club and have made gifts to the Division I Athletic Endowment, the Victory Fund, Neville Renewed, the construction of Bailey Memorial Stadium, and the Championship Spirit athletic facility initiative.
John also led fundraising efforts through an annual golf tournament in support of the Dr. Elliott Poss Scholarship Fund in memory of the PC alumnus and former football coach and spearheaded the fundraising for the Neville Hall classroom dedicated to and in memory of Coach Poss. He is also a past president of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, an ex-officio member of the Scotsman Club Board, and a current member of the PC Board of Trustees. John also currently serves on the Industrial Development Authority for Screven County, Georgia.
A retired dealer management services manager with the John Deere Company and the owner of EZ Way Farms in Sylvania, Ga., John and Alison are proud parents of two children – Lane Goodwin ’00 and Kevin Jeselnik.
The Jeselniks are members of First United Methodist Church of Sylvania, where John has recently been appointed to serve as a trustee on the board. Also, they are members of Presbyterian College’s William Plumer Jacobs Society, a society that recognizes and honors those individuals, churches, foundations, and corporations who provide outstanding support to the College.
