Price ’84 and Tammy ’86 Woodward

Price ’84 and Tammy ’86 Woodward met and fell in love at Presbyterian College and the love they have for the family they created is rivaled only by the love they share for their alma mater.

Price, a retired executive with Edward Jones and Company, and Tammy, the former head of the Hartsville, SC, chapter of the American Red Cross, now reside in Tammy’s native Georgia following Price’s inspiring recovery from a stroke in 2015.

As their family followed Price’s upward career path as a financial planner, the Woodwards have lived in southern small-town settings like Hartsville, SC, and in a major midwestern city – St. Louis. But along the way, they have not forgotten to serve the community.

Tammy helped Hurricane Hugo victims in 1989 while serving in the Red Cross, while Price has served on a number of boards and civic organizations, including the United Way of Hartsville, the Pee Dee Regional Mental Health Center, Byerly Hospital, the Hartsville Rotary Club, and the Hartsville Country Club. He also has served on the foundation boards of both the St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, GA, and the Shepherd Center Rehabilitation Hospital in Atlanta.

Both graduated with degrees in business management at PC. Price earned his master’s in business administration from Duke University in 1992 and earned his certification as a financial planner from the College for Financial Planning.

The couple has three daughters – Lainey, Watson, and Della. They continue to support their alma mater through the Stephen Potts Bates Public Service  Scholarship Fund and the Robert E. ’68 and Phyllis B. ’18 (h) Staton Family  Scholarship Fund.
