The Student Government Association (SGA) serves and promotes the individual student; unifying all that is Presbyterian College. The SGA will reach out, actively listen to, and advocate for all students in an effort to connect the Presbyterian College family and enact lasting positive change.
The Presbyterian College’s Student Government Association website will keep students and SGA members updated on all SGA developments and will provide an understanding of SGA and introduce its members to those not familiar with PC’s student government.
The Senate meets once a month. Meetings are open to the entire student body. SGA also strongly encourages you to contact any SGA members with any concerns you may have.
We, the students of Presbyterian College, in order to further the activities of student life, promote a widespread interest in student affairs, govern ourselves by just and righteous laws, and develop a greater spirit of progressive citizenship, do ordain and establish this constitution for the Student Government Association of Presbyterian College.
The College recognizes the importance of student participation in institutional decision-making and provides numerous opportunities, which include student membership on certain Board of Trustees’ committees, membership on the Academic Affairs and Student Affairs Councils of the Faculty as well as membership on ten faculty standing committees, and membership on the Honor Council and the Appeals Board. The College believes such participation in decision-making is excellent preparation for active involvement in public affairs after college and provides the valuable and necessary voice of the student body in decisions that affect living and learning experiences at Presbyterian College.
