A Life Devoted to Service
Jeffrey ’79 & Rebecca ’80 Reynolds
“While we live, we serve” best sums up the relationship alumni Jeffrey and Becky Reynolds have with their alma mater. Jeffrey attended PC in the dual degree program and graduated from Clemson in 1979 with a degree in civil engineering. Becky earned her degree in special education from PC in 1981.
They reside in Aiken, S.C., where Jeffrey is the president of H.G. Reynolds Company Inc., a general contracting firm founded by his father. Becky has served as a special education teacher in Andrews, S.C., and a social worker for the Department of Social Services in Edgefield County, S.C.
The Reynolds are both very active in their community. In addition to serving on PC’s board of trustees from 2009-15, Jeffrey has served as a board member of the Tri-Development Center in Aiken and as building division chair for Carolinas AGC. Becky is the past president of the board for the Aiken Boxing Club and the Aiken High School Parent-Teacher Association.
The couple has also been very active members of First Presbyterian Church in Aiken. Jeffrey has served as an elder, a youth leader, and Sunday school teacher, while Becky has taught Sunday school, served on the nominating committee, and served as past president of the preschool board of directors. For her work in the church’s preschool program, she was honored with the Mary Hunter Award for Service.
The Reynolds have three children – Graham, Hank, and Bess, a 2013 graduate of PC. They have three grandsons.
