Jean Allred loved her brother Jim Allred ’69 who passed away on May 6, 2019, at his home on Lake Murray. To honor his legacy, in January 2020, Jean established the Jim Allred ’69 Scholarship. The scholarship is designed to provide need-based support to a business major, with preference to a student who is married. Jean witnessed first-hand how hard Jim worked to provide for his family while earning a PC degree, and she wanted to make sure that others pursuing their PC degree would be given financial support to offset the cost of tuition.
